The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) invites international students to apply for a scholarship again this year, in order to promote exchange and strengthen mutual friendship between the participating countries.
Scholarship and time period:
- Master’s Degree Program: three years, of which one year is a Korean language program (1 September 2019 – 31 August 2022)
- Doctoral Degree Program: four years, of which one year is a Korean language program (1 September 2019 – 31 August 2023)
Participants can either submit their application to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea or directly to a participating university. Those, who decide to apply via the embassy, can list three preferred universities in their application.
Applications have to reach the Embassy of the Republic of Korea until Friday, 8 March 2019. Kindly send all applications to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Bilateral Department, Gregor-Mendel-Straße 25, 1180 Vienna, Austria, by mail or hand in your application personally at above mentioned address.
Please note that original documents cannot be returned, as mentioned in the application guidelines (see enclosure).
Timeline of Application Procedure:
o 8 March 2019: Deadline for submitting applications to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea
o 11 – 15 March 2019: Screening of application documents
o 15 March 2019: Individual notice to each applicant
o 20 March 2019: Individual Interview
