The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Australia invited around 110 students who take Korean language classes at primary and high schools in Canberra, and hosted ‘2019 Ban-Gap Day! Korea!’ event on Friday, 10 May 2019.
Students from Gungahlin College, Gold Creek School, Narrabundah College and Calwell High School demonstrated their Korean language skills and quality performances, and received big applause from the audience. Students from Lake Tuggeranong College, invited as special guests, also performed professional K-Pop dancing and spent enjoyable time together at the Korean embassy.
On the day, Ambassador LEE Baeksoon had a meeting with the school principals, expressed his gratitude and asked for continued support in Korean language education in their schools. Ambassador Lee also encouraged the students to continue their efforts in learning Korean language in order to broaden their perspectives and promised to invite them to his residence more often.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next year’s Ban-Gap Day event!
