The delegation from the Environment and Labor Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea visited the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) in Canberra on Friday, 10 November 2017. They listened to a briefing by the MDBA on Australia’s water management system of the Murray River, the Darling River and the Murrumbidgee River, which span parts of four Australia’s states and one territory and exchanged their opinions. They also made an on-site inspection of the Cotter Dam to see MDBA’s water management practice.
Earlier in the morning, Mr Youngpyo Hong, the chair of the Committee with 3 members of the National Assembly, Mr Sang Don Lee, Mr Chang Hyun Shin and Mr Byungwon Kang, paid their respects at the Korean War Memorial in Canberra
upon their arrival.
