※ Important Notice for Non-Canadian Visa Applicants
Please note that Applicants from certain countries who are presently in Canada (ex: temporary workers, international students etc.) must have been residing in Canada for at least 2 years (730 days) when submitting a visa application.
If you are concerned by this policy, you must provide, in addition to the required documents, additional proof of temporary residence (ex: your formal Canadian immigration documents, such as an expired Canadian visa, study or work permit, housing lease, municipal bills showing name and address).
This measure does not apply to permanent residents of Canada.
However, nationals from the following 34 countries who fall under the
following ①~⑤ categories, can apply for the visa
even they stayed in Canada for less than two years.
① Foreigners and their families (spouses and minors) who have
been invited by the Government of the Republic of Korea,
local government authorities and public institution
② Diplomats and employees of International Organizations, which
holds a long-term stay visa* and their families** with
equivalent qualifications (spouses and minors)
* Visa allows to stay for more than 3 months
** Only when the family member is applying with the qualified
③ Spouse and minors of Canadian passport holders with a long term visa or equivalent qualification,
who stayed in Canada for less than two years
④ Applicants with visa issuance confirmation number
⑤ Applicants of Transit visa (C-3-10)

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Cuba, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Senegal , Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
If your stay in Canada does not exceed 2 years, you must apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate general of the Republic of Korea located in your respective country.
