The OECD hosted the Digital for SMEs Global Initiative forum on 29 November 2019 to enhance the
digital capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Korean Minister of SMEs and Start-Ups, Park Young-sun, co-chaired
the forum, and businesses such as Kakao, POSCO, and Telstar-Hommel participated. The contributors presented Korea’s policies and examples of co-operation between businesses, and
discussed the direction of future developments.
In addition, Minister Park held talks with OECD Secretary-General Ángel
Gurría to introduce Korea's policies for digital capacity-building and
inclusive growth of SMEs, as well as to explore ways for Korea to co-operate
with the OECD.
