PNG Quarantine Authorities Beefing Up Inspection Measures due to ASF Outbreak
PNG NAQIA (National Agriculture Quarantine and Inspection Authority) imposed a permanent ban on pork and pork materials imported from the Philippines due to the African Swine Fever(ASF) outbreak following similar outbreaks in China, and, just this week in South Korea. In addition, National Capital District Commission environment health division will eradicate the practice of breeding pigs in NCD. 100 per cent inspection will be conducted on baggage coming from countries affected by the ASF outbreak.
