Blessing and Turnover Ceremony of 25 Patrol Vehicles to PRO 7

Twenty-five patrol vehicles were delivered to Police Regional Office 7 on October, 2018. These 25 are part of the 130 patrol vehicles donated by the Republic of Korea as one of the ODA projects for strengthening the investigation capacity of the Philippine National Police.


The Police Regional Office 7 headed by the Regional Director, Police Señior Superintendent Debold Sinas hosted the blessing and turnover ceremony of the vehicles last October 15, 2018, Monday at 7:30 in the morning at the PRO7 Parade Ground, Camp Sergio Osmeña, Sr., Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City.


Consul General OH Sung Yong of the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu graced the ceremony as the guest of honor and speaker. He highlighted in his speech, “I am sure that these vehicles will be used as an instrument to strengthen the safety and security in Metro Cebu. I believe that this will attract more Korean tourists and investors and eventually, it will boost the economy of Central Visayas”.


The vehicles will be distributed to police offices in the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.


The above-mentioned ODA project is worth 6.6 million US dollars which includes the following:

  • 130 Patrol vehicles

  • 142 Patrol motorcycles

  • Police investigation kits

  • Invitation program for selected Filipino policemen to be sent to Korea for trainings and seminar
