DATE
2020-03-12

According to the national ABS-CBN news report dated 2020.3.11, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested an illegal Filipino employment agent, Eleny Reynos(female). Suspect was said to have received a total of 2 million pesos from 40 Filipinos (about 45 million Korean won) for helping them find a job in Korea. The suspect Eleny Reynos is expected to be sentenced to prison for massive illegal job recruiting and Estafa.

The investigation of the crime by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was initiated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines when the Embassy discovered that the suspect falsified documents during the visa screening process for the victims.

In the future, the Embassy will sternly deal with crimes such as illegal job placement and falsification of documents as it has done, so that those involved will be subject to criminal punishment regardless of nationality.
