①︎ Who is eligible?

    - Foreigners from visa-required countries who will be taking a direct flight from overseas to Jeju Island without stopping over at any other parts of Korea.


②︎ What is considered as direct flight from overseas to Jeju Island?

    - Direct flights include Singapore →︎ Jeju Island →︎ Singapore (✔︎)

                                        Singapore →︎ Shanghai →︎ Jeju Island→︎ Singapore (✔︎)

                                        Singapore →︎ Philippines →︎ Jeju Island→︎ Singapore (✔︎)

                                        Singapore →︎ Hong Kong →︎ Jeju Island→︎ Singapore (✔︎)


    - Non-direct flights include Singapore→︎ Seoul / Busan → Jeju Island (not allowed to use this scheme)

     

③︎ Who is NOT eligible?

   - This policy is not applicable to the nationals from 23 countries* designated by Ministry of Justice listed in the box below.


 Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Cuba, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Kyrgyz, Myanmar, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan, Yemen

 Apply for K-ETA to enter Jeju Island

 Nationals from 22 countries that are temporarily exempted from K-ETA from 01 April 2023 to 31 December 2024 (KST)

 

 Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam).

 Nationals from 23 countries* designated by Ministry of Justice

1. What happens if I am a national of a visa-free and K-ETA eligible country?

    ▷︎You are required to apply for K-ETA at www.k-eta.go.kr to enter Jeju Island unless you are from the 22 countries that are temporarily exempted from K-ETA (see the box above).

2. How do I check if I am from a K-ETA eligible country?

    ▷︎Please visit https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/viewstep1.do and select your country in the dropbox. If you are able to locate your country, it means you are from a K-ETA eligible country. If you are NOT able to locate your country, it means you are not eligible to apply for K-ETA.

3. I am a Singapore citizen taking a non-direct flight to Jeju Island (i.e Singapore →︎ Seoul →︎ Jeju Island). Will I need a visa or K-ETA to enter?

   ▷︎ No, you may enter without visa or K-ETA.

4. I am from a visa-required country and will transit through Incheon / Busan before arriving in Jeju Island. Am I eligible to use this visa-free entry scheme for Jeju Island?

   ▷︎ No, the visa-free entry scheme is applicable only to direct flights to Jeju Island. If you need to transit through other parts of Korea, you will need to apply for visa.
