Temporary Suspension of ROK-Singapore Fast Lane
On 30 January 2021, the Singapore Government has announced that the Reciprocal Green Lane arrangements with Germany, Malaysia and the Republic of Korea will be suspended for a period of three (3) months starting from 01 February 2021. The official news release can be found here

ROK-Singapore Fast Lane for Essential Travel
(Quarantine Exemption at the Arriving Country)
1. The Republic of Korea (ROK) and Singapore Fast Lane
On 2 September 2020, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Republic of Singapore agreed to implement the Fast Lane allowing quarantine exemption at the arriving country to facilitate essential business and official travel between Korea (via Incheon International Airport only) and Singapore.
▢ Who can apply?
① All residents and long-term pass holders of the ROK and Singapore seeking to travel for essential business and official purposes.
② The traveller must have remained in Singapore for at least 14 days prior to departure to Korea.
▢ Overview of Application Process
① Apply for the Quarantine Exemption Approval
※ The sponsoring company or government agency in the ROK must file an application for Quarantine
Exemption Approval on behalf of the applicant.
② Apply for a visa if needed
※ Approval for quarantine exemption does not exempt a person from applying for a visa if the person holds a visa-required passport. Singapore residents holding visa-required passport (click for country list) should apply for a visa at the
ROK Embassy in Singapore.

※ APEC card holders are not required to apply for visa.
③ Undertake a COVID-19 PCR (PCR: Polymerase Chain Reaction) test within 72 hours before departure. The traveller will undertake another COVID-19 PCR test at Incheon Airport upon arrival.
2. How to use the Fast Lane for essential travel from Singapore to ROK
(Pre-Departure Measures)
① The sponsoring company or government agency in the ROK must submit the application for quarantine exemption to Business Travel Support Centre Korea.
※ The sponsoring company or government agency may contact the Business Travel Support Centre Korea (www.btsc.or.kr, +82-1566-8110) if they have enquiries on the application procedures.
② Once the applicant receives approval for quarantine exemption from the government agency in Korea, he/she should submit the following documents via email (fastlanesg@mofa.go.kr) to the ROK Embassy in Singapore within 5 to 10 working days before departure to Korea.

③ Upon receiving the documents, the ROK Embassy will issue the Quarantine Exemption Certificate (three copies) and letter to confirm that the applicant is an approved fast lane traveller (for submission to ICA upon return to Singapore). The applicant will be notified by email on the collection date. Separately, the applicant should make an appointment at the designated testing facility (click) for the pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test.
The applicant is required to bring along his/her original passport, NRIC/Long-Term Pass and one copy of the Quarantine Agreement to the Terms and Conditions (to be signed in the presence of the Embassy officer) on the collection day.
※ Long-Term Pass holders returning to Singapore after visit to the ROK via Fast Lane are not required to apply for entry approval before their arrival into Singapore.
¹ From 01 December 2020, any individual who requires a PCR test will be able to procure such services from approved providers without presenting approval letter (i.e letter issued by the Embassy for PCR test).
(Post-Arrival Measures)
④ Upon entry into the ROK, the traveller is required to present the following documents to the Korean authority:
1) A certificate of negative result for a COVID-19 PCR test
2) Two copies of Quarantine Exemption Certificate issued by the ROK Embassy in Singapore.
3) A valid visa, if required
⑤ Once cleared by the authority, the traveller should undertake a COVID-19 PCR test at the Incheon Airport and remain isolated for one to two days until the result is released. If tested positive, the traveller will undergo medical treatment and will bear the relevant costs in whole or in part, depending on his/her nationality (click for details)
⑥ All arriving passengers must install and activate the ROK Government’s Self Health Check Mobile App (click) and comply with the ROK Government’s monitoring.
3. Measures to follow while staying in Korea
Travellers entering Korea should abide by the COVID-19 prevention and control measures in accordance to prevailing health regulations of the Republic of Korea. Travellers must also adhere to a controlled itinerary that is supervised by the sponsoring company or government agency for the first 14 days of their arrival in Korea.
4. Returning to Singapore (Please refer to SafeTravel website (link) for the latest information.)
With effect from 26 December 2020, 2359 hours, all travellers entering Singapore who have a travel history (including transit) in the past 14 days to the Republic of Korea will be required to serve a 14-day SHN at dedicated SHN facilities. The 14-day SHN at dedicated SHN facilities also applies to returning Singapore-based travellers under the Singapore-ROK Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL).
