On Friday 10th August, the Embassy warmly received the Nanoom-Nuri Global Youth Volunteer team and had a luncheon with the whole group of 18 volunteers and teachers from the Changwon Office of Education, as well as officers from Food for the Hungry. The youth volunteer members shared their experiences regarding volunteer works at local schools and career guidance.
The first volunteer team of talented youth went through 3-step volunteer work screening process. The team has successfully completed their voluntary work, such as painting a mural, holding sports meetings at 2 schools in Kamuli District. They will be returning to Korea with valuable memories of their time spent with Ugandan children.
We at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea welcome the visit from the volunteer team and are truly encourage them that their memorable experiences could be used for their future careers. The Embassy wishes them the best as they strive to grow into global leaders active in the international arena.
