The Hanbit unit
in South Sudan invited about 200 people, including South Sudan residents, and
other overseas dispatched troops on Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day). They
(military personnel from Hanbit unit) introduced the guests to Korean culture,
such as Yut nori (a Korean traditional board game), and Hanbok (Korean
Hanbit is the
Korean military’s engineering unit, supported by medical, transportation, and
communication teams, which was established to support reconstruction missions
in South Sudan as part of the UNMISS (United Nations Mission in South Sudan).

Embassy genuinely extend our gratitude for their hard work to maintain peace in
South Sudan, and also would like to share our best wishes for a warm Chuseok to
all our proud overseas deployed armed forces of the Republic of Korea.
