The government of the Republic of Korea introduces the use of an electronic wristband for those who violate quarantine measures from 27 April. If a person in quarantine leaves a quarantine area without permission during the 14-day period or otherwise fails to comply with quarantine guidelines, the person will be asked to wear a wristband. Those who refuse to wear a band will be transferred to a designated quarantine facility. A transferred person may pay for the use of the facility. New measures were embedded in the promotional materials and relevant forms such as the Instructions for Quarantine Subjects, Notice of Isolation/Quarantine and Travel Record Declaration. In addition, the government will increase the frequency of routine calls and random visits made to those in quarantine. On 24 April, the government reported 6 new confirmed cases, resulting in a total of 10,708 cases and 240 deaths to date.
