Republic of Korea and United Arab Emirates have signed MOU on visa exemption during foreign affairs ministrial talk between Korea-UAE on Wednesday, September 21st, 2016.

After the effectivation of the MOU (September 21st, 2016, UAE time), citizens of Repubilc of Korea with valid passport (with more than 6 months of validity left) can enter and stay in UAE up to 90 days with out visa. This rule applies to the citizens of UAE vice versa.

Citizens of Republic of Korea who entered UAE before the effectivation of the MOU should follow the previous rules, which grants 30 days visa exemption.

UAE government has announced that it will take about 1 month to prepare the alteration of the system.

This MOU applies to 90 days visa exepmtion only, thus a citizen wish to work or study in UAE should obtain visa in accordance with the purpose.
