The Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN hosted the 2021 Korea-ASEAN Online Supporters Launching ceremony on 21 April virtually. At the virtual ceremony, 30 online supporters from ASEAN member states were in presence. The Mission shared the guideline for the online activities, which will be lasted until December this year.

The application for this year was more than doubled compared to 2020. As K-Wave has gained popularity in the region, especially among the tech-savvy younger generations, more youth are keen on learning and promoting Korea in their countries.

Ambassador Lim Sungnam, through his congratulatory remarks, explained the New Southern Policy Plus unveiled at the 2020 ASEAN-Korea Summit and ASEAN-Korea relations for the last 30 years. Ambassador Lim also reiterated that he looked forward to seeing creative ideas and contents that 30 Online Supporters will be carrying out throughout the year.

The best performer and the best content will be awarded in December.
