Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN

On 24 April, Ambassador Lee Jang-keun visited Krakatau POSCO, a Korea-Indonesia joint venture steel manufacturer located in Cilegon.

During the visit, Ambassador Lee expressed his appreciation to Mr. Jung Bumsoo, President Director of Krakatau POSCO, as well as to the staffs and workers, for their contributions to the economic and industrial development of ASEAN. He also reaffirmed Korean Government's commitment to supporting the expansion and growth of Korean enterprises in the region.

POSCO currently operates steel manufacturing facilities in five ASEAN countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines—and supplies steel products both within the region and to global markets, including the European Union.
