Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN

On Wednesday, 27 August, Ambassador Lee Jang-keun, together with the KOICA Indonesia Office, visited the AHA Centre to discuss ways to enhance ASEAN-level cooperation in disaster management. Mr. Lee Yam Ming, Executive Director of the AHA Centre, presented the Centre’s key activities and explained the functions and roles of the Emergency Operation Centre. The Deputy Country Director of KOICA, who accompanied the Ambassador, introduced ongoing projects in Indonesia and requested ASEAN’s attention and cooperation. Ambassador Lee highlighted the importance of cooperation in disaster management and discussed future directions for development.
