Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN

On 18 September, 2025, H. E. Ambassador Lee Jang-keun attended the Second Conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia. In his remarks, Ambassador Lee highlighted the importance of the fundamental principles of the Treaty, such as the respect for sovereignty, renunciation of force, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.

The Conference was a timely opportunity for the High Contracting Parties to renew their commitment to the principles of the Treaty, and to share views on the future direction of the Treaty to further enhance peace and stability in the region.
