Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN

On September 22, 2025, the Mission of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, together with the ASEAN-Korea Programme Management Team (AKPMT), hosted the Annual Report Briefing Session of the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) in Jakarta, with participation of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat.

The event highlighted the key achievements of AKCF projects in 2024 and included an interactive Q&A session with participants.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Lee Jang-keun, Head of the ROK Mission to ASEAN, underscored that since its establishment in 1990, the AKC has been a cornerstone of the ASEAN-Korea partnership. He further noted that the Fund remains a vital instrument not only for delivering on the commitments under the ASEAN-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) but also for contributing meaningfully to ASEAN’s long-term vision.

ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn also delivered a vedio message, conveying his deep appreciation for Korea‘s continued contributions through the AKCF.
