



The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Australia and the United States Studies Centre (USSC) co-hosted the 2025 ROK-AUS Dialogue on Security Cooperation in Canberra on 13 November 2025.
Mr Jimin Kim, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the ROK Embassy, and Dr Lavina Lee, Director of Foreign Policy and Defence at USSC, delivered the opening remarks, followed by congratulatory remarks from Lieutenant General Ju Il-suk, Commandant of the ROK Marine Corps, and Dr Peter Sawczak, First Assistant Secretary of DFAT’s Geostrategy and Partnerships Division.
Around 60 experts and officials from both countries discussed the regional strategic environment, emerging security challenges, and avenues to deepen cooperation in new domains such as cyber and defence industry.
