The Overseas Koreans Agency (OKA) is planning to hold the “2026 Overseas Korean Adoptees Gathering” from 18 May to 22 May 2026 in order to strengthen ties between adopted overseas Koreans and their motherland, and to promote exchanges among adopted Koreans worldwide.

In this regard, we are pleased to provide the following information so that adopted Koreans residing in Australia may participate in this event.

ㅇ Event Title: 2026 Overseas Korean Adoptees Gathering (OKAG)

ㅇ Dates and Venue: May 18 (Mon) – May 22 (Fri) 2026 / Incheon, Seoul, Paju, etc.

ㅇ Number of Participants: Approximately 90 persons

   -  Organisational leaders, first-time visitors to Korea, speakers/lecturers, etc

[Application Process]

ㅇ Period: From the date of announcement until March 2, 2026 (Mon), 18:00 (KST)

ㅇ Method: Both Step 1 and Step 2 must be completed.

   - Step 1: Submit the original signed application form (with handwritten signature) to the Embassy.

      * Submitted originals will not be returned.

      * Postal Address:

   - Step 2: Send copies of the submitted documents by email to OKA (okafuture@korea.kr)

ㅇ Required Documents (in English or Korean)

   - Mandatory: ①Application Form, ②Documentation Release, ③Liability Release, 

                         ④Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information

   - If applicable: Group C- Proof of Career, certificates / Group B-Immigration record or proof of first visit

ㅇ Announcement of Results: March 16, 2026 (Mon)

   - Through the Embassy and individual email notification
