Currently, all international travellers are required to meet ALL the requirements below to travel to Korea.

1) a valid visa

2) online pre-entry declaration form(Q-CODE)

* please note that both pre-departure COVID test and post-arrival COVID test are NO LONGER required now. Travellers don't need to take a COVID test before departure nor after arrival.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) a valid visa

Currently all visas, including C-3-9 tourism and H-1 working holiday visas, are available for eligible applicants.

Please also note that all C-3 multiple visas, which were previously made invalid as a temporary COVID-19 measure, are now made valid. Thus, if the expire date has not reached yet, then the multiple visa is still valid and the holder can use it when travelling to Korea.

▶ All international travellers need a valid visa to enter Korea, thus are required to make a necessary visa arrangement before travel.

(either K-ETA(online) for eligible passport holders or appropriate visa through the Embassy/Consulate(offline) for those who are ineligible for K-ETA)

Korea has introduced the K-ETA(Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) and Australian passport holders who wish to travel to Korea for short term(up to 90 days) will now need to apply for K-ETA before travel.

* visa on arrival is NO LONGER available for all Australian passport types(ordinary/official/diplomatic), except for those who hold a valid ABTC card.

* a valid ABTC card holders will still travel to Korea like before.(K-ETA is not needed)

With K-ETA, travellers can visit family or friends/have a holiday/undertake certain business related activities/etc. (K-ETA will allow travellers to do C-3 visa category activities, including C-3-1 Short-term visit, C-3-4 Temporary business and C-3-9 Tourism.)

Please visit the official K-ETA webpage below to apply or to find out eligible passports.

K-ETA (https://k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do?locale=EN)

The fee for K-ETA is KRW 10,000.(equivalently just around A$ 10)

Please be alerted that there are unofficial webpages which charge extra fees.

Thus, please always make it sure that you use the official webpage run by the Korean government.

Those who hold an Australian official/diplomatic passport and are travelling to Korea on a short term(up to 90 days) official/diplomatic visit can also apply for K-ETA online, instead. (not necessarily A-1 diplomatic / A-2 official visa)

* Those who are posted to Korea/to be stationed in Korea for 91 days or longer will, however, still have to apply for a A-1 diplomatic or A-2 official visa through the Korean Embassy/Consulate.

2) online pre-entry declaration form(Q-CODE)

From Wednesday 8th June 2022, 7 days quarantine requirement for international travellers was lifted. Thus, all international travellers DO NOT require quarantine regardless of their age and vaccination history unless they develop COVID-19 symptoms and test positive after arrival.

▶ As Q-CODE is designed for a more efficient and convenient process during immigration clearance, all international travellers are STRONGLY recommended to complete it before arrival.

Please visit the official Q-CODE webpage below to apply or to find out more information.
