Do you have a passion for film and arts? Do you love Korean culture? Then come and work behind the scenes at the 2018 Korean Film Festival in Australia and gain exclusive knowledge on the operations of this critically acclaimed event.
The Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA) is searching for dedicated and hardworking volunteers that have a passion about the film and arts industry. Year after year, volunteers have continually proved themselves to be integral to the KOFFIA experience, giving their time and skills to make the event as extraordinary, if not more extraordinary, than the film festival before it.
KOFFIA 2018, the 9th Annual Korean Film Festival, promises to deliver another blockbuster-packed show stemming from a variety of genres, thanks to the participation of some of the world’s leading Korean filmmakers. Our ideal applicants will be able to thrive in a group environment, be able to work within a culturally dynamic setting and should be able to passionately and enthusiastically engage with the new wave of Korean film.
Duties of Previous Volunteers Include:
- Managing and dealing with general queries at the information desk
- Ticket and venue management
- Directing, navigating and interacting with both customers and KOFFIA VIP’s to guide them around the venue
- Managing and setting up microphones for Q&A sessions
- Assisting in the organisation of KOFFIA’s opening ceremony
- Helping promote KOFFIA by handing out advertisements and providing movie recommendations
- Performing general set-up of and end-of-day tasks
