We would like to inform you that if you visit without a reservation from 2 /JANUARY/ 2025, you are unable to lodge your visa application on the day you visit.

Only one person per slot can make a booking. If there are multiple applications, please make appointments according to the number of people.

If all reservations are taken, there is no slot visible. Please make an appointment on another business day. If you are late for the reservation, you may be unable to submit your application.

D-2-8 (Short-term study)

1. Eligible Applicants

This visa category is designed for students who wish seeking to study any short course(less than one year) including summer/winter exchange student.

The holder of this visa (D-2-8) is not allowed to engage in any other activity for remuneration such as a part-time job. In case a foreign student breaks this rule, he/she will be penalised according to the article 94 or 95 of Immigration Law. In principle, a tuition fee or living expenses in Korea shall be covered by his/her own money, therefore, to an applicant who intends to raise money for tuition fees or expenses in Korea is restricted from this visa issuance.

2. Required Documents
※ If necessary, Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Melbourne may ask an applicant to submit more documents than required.

※ If you already have a Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number, you need to submit an original passport, a completed visa application form '(Visa Issuance Confirmation Holder Only) Application for Visa (updated on 12.Jun.2018)'

- A completed and signed visa application form (Please find the attached)

- Original passport (must have at least 6 months validity left)

- One colour photograph taken within the last 6 months to be attached to the form
* Size : 3.5cm x 4.5cm
* White or off-white background

- A photocopy of signed Certificate of Admission issued by the chief dean of a university specifying the screening decision of scholastic aptitude and finance capability
*If you are responsible for expenses during study in Korea, you also need to submit a certificate of bank balance/bank statement.

- Certificate of the latest scholastic achievement

- Certificate of enrolment or academic transcripts from current educational institution in Australia

- Certificate of business registration of the Korean university

- Visa Application fee (Please find the attached)
* Payment method: CARD, Money order issued by Australia Post (Payee: Korean Consulate General in Melbourne) OR in Cash

- A self-addressed prepaid express post platinum envelope from the post office for return of your passport (Optional)

* Please note that the Consulate General in Melbourne strongly advises all applicants to receive the passport by using a safer delivery option which offers both tracking and signature on delivery (like Express Post Platinum), in order to minimise the possibility of loss.

* Also, all applicants are advised to take a note of the tracking numbers for future reference.

3. Visa Processing time: Approximately 10 working days
※ We do not return visa documents once submitted.
