Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan

2024 Quiz on Korea preliminary round was held on May 17 from 14:00 to 15:30 at the 3rd floor auditorium of Azerbaijan University of Languages. During his opening remarks Ambassador Lee Eun-yong emphasized the significance of this event being held again after seven years break. He added that the winner of this regional round will have the opportunity to participate in the final round which will be held in Korea, thereby further promoting awareness about Azerbaijan in Korea. He expressed hopes that the event, where participants and spectators solve problems related to Korea together, would be a meaning experience for them.

Ten participants who passed a preliminary quiz test on Korea participated in this preliminary round, competing through the first and second rounds to determine the ultimate winner. After an intense competition, Nuray Novruzova emerged as the first-place winner, securing a spot in the Korea final.

Additionally, there were corners set up where attendees could experience wearing Hanbok and putting on Gat (Korean traditional hat), allowing them to experience the elegance of Korean traditional attire. Booths were also set up for playing Tuho (throwing arrow game) and Jegichagi (kicking a shuttlecock into the air and attempting to keep it aloft), providing opportunities to enjoy Korean traditional games.
