Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan

From July 11 to 12 Ambassador Kang Gym gu visited Gabala, where Korean archaeologists are taking part in excavation work. He toured the excavation center to view artifacts jointly excavated and exhibited by scholars of both countries and was briefed on future plans.

He congratulated the inclusion of the Gabala archaeological site on the Tentative List for inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee, expressing hope for its inscription in the near future.
