2024 Application Guidelines of Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G)

2024 Global Korea Scholarship students for Graduate degree will be selected according to the following schedule. 1. Number of Grantees 

 ㅇ Embassy track : 6 person 

 ㅇ University track : 9 persons

    (General - 7 persons, Regional Universities – 2 persons) 

※ Significant change in the 2024 GKS-G 

  Starting from 2024 GKS-G, applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31st, 2024 can also apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation. Such applicants must submit their official graduation certificate(or diploma) and final academic transcript to GKS Center, NIIEd by July 31st, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellations of your acceptance. 


2. Selection Schedule (Embassy track only) 

  ㅇ Application submission : 26 February ~ 5 March 17:00 pm.   (※ 1 March is non-working day) 

    - Please submit 1 original documents and 3 sets of copies 

    - Certificates written in other languages(not in English or Korean) must be submitted with a Apostille and certified translation. 

    ※ Apostille organization : ASAN No.5, No. 7,(Hotline : 208) and Notary office No.1 (Tel. 012-498-4514, 012-493-4514).  (Please see website https://aznotary.az/en/page/apostil-verilmesinde-selahiyyetli-notariat-ofisleri )

      - If your document is unable to be re-issued, please keep the original and obtain an apostille on a notarized copy.

        There may be differences in the issuance fee and period of Apostille confirmation. 

    ※ You can submit below mentioned documents as a proof of citizenship and family relationship 

       certificate of birth(with apostille) and copy of passports of family members(or copy of ID) 

       OR certificate of family relations(with apostille) and copy of passports of family members(or copy of ID)

         * You can take a certficate of family relations at ASAN service. 

  ㅇ How to submit : directly to Korean Embassy or by post mail (only application documents that arrive within the application period can be accepted) 

    - Address of Korean Embassy : ISR Plaza 14th floor, 69 Nizami street, Baku, AZ1005

  ㅇ Announcement of applicants who passed the documentation review : 13 March 2024 / Only successful candidates will be notified individually. 

  ㅇ Interview : 14 March 2024 / Korean Embassy 

  ㅇ Announcement of applicants who passed the interview : 15 March 2024 / Only successful candidates will be notified individually.
