Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan

Due to enexpected circumstances at the National Informaiton Resources Service of the Republic of Korea, the GKS online application system has been suspended. Accordingly, the application method and schedule have been revised as follows ; 

2026 Global Korea Scholarship students for Undergraduate degree will be selected according to the following schedule. If you are interested in the program, please see below and submit all application documents by 17 October 16:00 pm to Korean Embassy. 

※ Important !! 

   Applicants who have already submitted their applications online are also required to resubmit their completed application documents to Korean Embassy by 17 October 16:00 pm.  

1. Number of Grantees 

 ㅇ Embassy track : 1 person (Azerbaijan citizen) 

 ㅇ University track 

    - Associate degree – 30 persons from 71 countries

    - UIC(University-Industry Cooperation) program - 100 persons (this program is open to all countries around the world.)  

2. Selection Schedule (Embassy track only) 

  ㅇ Application submission : 6 Octoberber ~ 17 October 16:00 pm (Azerbaijan Time) 

     - Please submit 1 original documents and 3 sets of copies to Korean Embassy. 

     - Certificates written in other languages(not in English or Korean) must be submitted with a Apostille and certified translation. 

     ※ List of Apostille organization 

       - List can be found website: https://aznotary.az/en/page/apostil-verilmesinde-selahiyyetli-notariat-ofisleri 

      - ASAN No.5, No. 7,(Hotline : 208) and Notary office No.1 (Tel. 012-498-4514, 012-493-4514). 

      - If your document is unable to be re-issued, please keep the original and obtain an apostille on a notarized copy.

      - There may be differences in the issuance fee and period of Apostille confirmation. 

    ※ You can submit below mentioned documents as a proof of citizenship and family relationship 

      - certificate of birth(with apostille) and copy of passports of family members(or copy of ID) 

        OR certificate of family relations(with apostille) and copy of passports of family members(or copy of ID)

         * You can take a certficate of family relations at ASAN service. 

  ㅇ How to submit 

     : directly to Korean Embassy or by post mail(Documents that arrive within the application period can be accepted)

  ㅇ Announcement of applicants who passed the documentation review : 21 October 2025 

     - Only sucessful candidates will be notified individually. 

  ㅇ Interview  : 23 October 2025 

      - Interview will be conducted only for those who passed the documentation review. 

  ㅇ Announcement of successful candidates (1st round) : 24 October 2025 / Only successful candidates will be notified individually.
