Bhandal Jhuri Water Supply Project (BJWSP) site visit (Dec.1st)

Ambassador Lee Jang-keun visited the project site in Bhandal Jhuri, Chittagong on December 1st, where a Korean engineering and construction company, Taeyoung is working on 'Bhandal Jhuri Water Supply Project (BJWSP)' in close cooperation with C-WASA (Chittagong Water and Sewerage Authority). 

Ambassador Lee along with a managing director of C-WASA, A.K.M. Fazlullah was briefed by project managers upon the construction management plans and activities such as setting up a treatment plant, transmission/distribution pipelines, 2 reservoirs as well as providing C-WASA officials with training programs to secure the project’s sustainability.

Korean government has been supporting C-WASA in improving the water and sewage system in the region via KOICA, K-EXIM Bank and KIND(Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Cooperation). For this project site inspection, a KOICA country director, Young-ah Doh, a KIND branch manager, Si-Hyong Kim, and a PHP group chairman, Mohammed Mohsin were accompanied.
