Opening Ceremony of the Hyundai Motors Factory in Kaliakor (Jan.19)

“Today, we are witnessing another significant development in the Korea-Bangladesh partnership… We are witnessing the opening of a new chapter in the Korea-Bangladesh partnership,” 

Said on 19 January 2023, H.E.Ambassador Lee Jang-keun at the “Step Into the Future Made in Bangladesh” ceremony of Hyundai Motors-Fair Technology, where Honorable Industry Minister Nurul Mahmud Humayun, ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and MP Captain Tajul Islam were present.

Ambassador Lee emphasized that opening the Hyundai Motors factory in Kaliakor, Bangladesh, can be a game changer, not only in the Bangladesh automobile market but also in the overall partnership between Korea and Bangladesh. He also pointed out that the automobile industry has been added to the list of our successful partnerships and collaboration beyond the RMG cooperation.

By opening its Kaliakoir factory in the High-Tech Park, Fair Technology can manufacture 6,000 Hyundai vehicles yearly as made in Bangladesh products, expecting to increase manufacturing capacity down the road. On this occasion, the new Creta 2023 was unveiled to Bangladesh customers.
