Embassy of the Republic of Korea in People's Republic of Bangladesh

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Bangladeshi students to participate in '2024 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduate Degrees.'

The application guidelines including qualifications, required documents/forms for submission, and all other necessary information are attached.

1. Number of Quota under Embassy Track (Bangladesh) : 1  / (Bhutan) : 1

2. Scholarship Period

  O Associate Degree: 3~4 years (1 year of Korean Language+2~3 years of Degree Program)

  O Bachelor’s Degree: 5~7 years (1 year of Korean Language+4~6 years of Degree Program)

3. Selection Schedule

  O Application Period : September 11 (Mon)- October 10 (Tue), 2023

    ※ The deadline for submission is October 10 (Tue), 2023

  O Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview : October 13, 2023 (Fri)

  O Expected Interview date : October 15-19, 2023 

    ※ The Embassy will contact the shortlisted applicants individually for the interview schedule on October 13, 2023 (Fri)

  O The 1st Selection result announcements : individual notification

4. All applications are to be posted or hand-delivered to

     ※ Korea Embassy working hours: 9:00-17:00(Sun-Thu), closed on 28 September & 3, 9 October 2023

        For hand-delivery, please contact to Embassy Security Officers to submit. 

5. Document submission

   Embassy track applicants should submit Three copies (1 Original+3 Copies)

   ※ Original copy means the certificates which were attested by Educational Board of Bangladesh, Foreign ministry of Bangladesh and Public notary.

   No need to Consular confirmation(Attestation) by Korean Embassy in the document review round

   ※ Successful candidate of 1st round(Embassy round) must submit 'Consular confirmed by Embassy' document for further round.

6. Any applicant can submit the documents even in holidays to Embassy Security Officers.
