Announcement for Resuming the Korea Entry Visa Application (Oct. 24)

DATE
2021-10-21

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh is pleased to announce that it will resume receiving Korea entry visa applications from Bangladeshi nationals starting from 24 October, Sunday, 2021.

The decision to resume the visa process has been made in consideration of the improved COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh and the low number of COVID-19 positive cases among the Bangladeshi arrivals in Korea.

In this regard, the Embassy would like to strongly advise all Bangladesh visitors to Korea to be fully vaccinated before their travel and take a high level of precautionary measures before, during and after arriving in Korea to avoid COVID-19 infections. If a noticeable COVID-19 positive cases among Bangladeshi arrivals in Korea happens again, restrictive measures on visa application can be reinstated by the Government of the Republic of Korea as happened in April 2021.

* It is a worrisome situation that two Bangladeshis arrived in Korea on 20 October were found positive for the Covid-19.
