Embassy of the Republic of Korea in People's Republic of Bangladesh

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Bangladeshi students to participate in '2024 Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) for Graduate(Master/Doctor) Degrees.'

1. Number of Quota under Embassy Track : 7

   ※ For details about 'University Track' and 'R-GKS', please check the attached documents and prepare to apply.

   ※ Those who failed to the 1st Round(Documents screening) by Embassy can apply to University Track again.

2. Scholarship Period

  O Master’s Degree: 3 years (1 year of Korean Language program+2years of Degree Program)

  O Doctoral Degree: 4 years (1 year of Korean Language program+3years of Degree Program)

3. Selection Schedule

  O Online Application Period : 7am, February 21 (Wed) - 12pm, March 15 (Fri), 2024 (Bangladesh Standard Time)

    ※  We don't accept the application & documents papers through the hand delivery or Post service.

    ※  (Additional Notice) The sealed Recommendation Letters should be sent to Korean Embassy by Post or

          Hand delivery. This system will be improved continueously, and  we request your kind understanding for

          this time.

  O Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview : March 18, 2024 (Mon)

    ※ Announcement will be delayed with advance notice.

  O Expected Interview date : March 19-21, 2024

    ※ The Embassy will contact the shortlisted applicants individually for the interview schedule after application screening.

  O The 1st Selection result announcements : Individual notification until March 22 (Fri)

  O The announcement of successful applicants for the Second round by NIIED: Early May 2024

  O The period of the third round by each universities : before June 7, 2024

  O The announcement of Final successful candidates: End of June 2024 by the notice of NIIED

    ※ Details will be notified to successful applicants only.

    ※ For more detail schedule, please check the attached guidelines above.

4. Online Applilcation & Document submission

   1) Read carefully the GKS application Guidelines attached here.

   2) Prepare the contents to submit through the online application site, photo file and all scanned documents to

       upload.

   3) Connect Online Application during the periods : https://www.studyinkorea.go.kr/ko/scholarshipmain.do

   4) Registration to the site & Fill up all contents and information that requested.

   5) Check it again before completing the submit.

5. Checking point before applying (Please read this information!)

      A) Original copy of your Certificates means the "(Copied) Certificates which were attested by 

          1) Educational Ministry of Bangladesh, 2) Foreign ministry of Bangladesh and 3) Public notary". 

           So, all applicants are requested to upload these Original copies to Online system.

      B) No need to Consular confirmation(Attestation) by Korean Embassy in the Document Review(1st) round. 

      C) Only for the Successful candidate of 1st round must submit 'Consular confirmed(Attested) by Embassy'

           document for further round. The Embassy of Republic of Korea will give a guidance for them later.

      D) No need to send the printed Application papers after applying to the Online system except the 

           Recommendation letter.

      E) Those who has the Certificate(Transcript or Degrees) out of Bangladesh(e.g. Bechelor degree in India)

          should be attested by the Korean embassy of the documents issued country (e.g. Korean Embassy in 

          India). 

      F) For clear communication, we will send the email to the applicants who completed the Online Application.
