2026 Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) for Graduate Degrees( Online Application : 12~25 Feb.)

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is inviting talented Bangladeshi students to participate in '2026 Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) for Graduate(Master/Doctor) Degrees.'



1. Number of Quota under Embassy Track : 7


   ※ The Quota under University Track is total 20 (General : 3, R-GKS : 17)

       For details about 'University Track', please check the attached files and prepare to apply to the University.

   ※ Those who failed to the 1st Round(Documents screening) by Embassy can apply to University Track again.



2. Scholarship Period


  O Master’s Degree: 3 years (1 year of Korean Language program+2years of Degree Program)

  O Doctoral Degree: 4 years (1 year of Korean Language program+3years of Degree Program)



3. Selection Schedule


  O  Online Application Period : 8AM, 12 February (Thu) - 3PM, 25 February (Wed), 2026

     ※  Bangladesh Local Time


  O (Expected) Announcement of the shortlisted applicants for interview : 2~3 March 2026

      ※ Announcement will be delayed with advance notice.

      ※ We will annouce the interviewees through the Korean Embassy Website. Also we will send the Email and SMS to the interviewees only.  If you don't get the any response from Korean Embassy, then it means that you are not selected in this time.


  O (Expected) Interview date : 8-10 March 2026

    ※ The Embassy will contact the shortlisted applicants individually for the Final interview schedule and information.


  O The 1st Selection result announcements : Individual notification until 16 March (Mon)


  O The announcement of successful applicants for the Second round by NIIED: Early of May 2026


  O The date of the third round by each Universities : 5 June (Fri) 2026


  O The announcement of Final successful candidates: End of June 2026 by the notice of NIIED

     ※ Details will be notified to successful applicants only.

     ※ For more detail schedule, please check the attached guidelines above.


 O Visa Application to Korean Embassy : Early August



4.  Online Site to Apply : www.studyinkorea.go.kr

     ※ Member login, submit all documents by the guidance.



5. Checking point before applying (Please read this information carefully!)


      A)  All applicants are required to upload the documents like [Birthday Certificate / Family Relation Certificate / Educatioanl Certificates etc.] with E-Apostille by Foreign Ministry of Affairs in Bangladesh.

           ※ When you upload, scan the [E-Apostille cover] and [certificate] together. If you submit the E-Apostille cover only, then your documents will not be evaluated.

           

      B) No need to Consular confirmation(Attestation) by Korean Embassy in Bangladesh.

          ※ If you have already completed the attestation from Korean Embassy, then you can submit them surely.  


      C) Bangladeshi Nationality who has the Certificate(Transcript or Degrees) out of Bangladesh also should be attested or confirmed properly(e.g. Apostille certificate)


      D) [TIP] Usually the applicants have submitted their documents near the last submissionn date. If you send the documents more eariler, it will be evaluated as [You are prepared well]. Please apply as you are ready. Don't wait for the last submisiion date!


      E) [TIP] According to the guideline of NIIED, all applicants are requested to submit the [Final Educational Certificates] to the Embassy(Embassy Track) and the Universities(University Track). If you have the [Provisional certificates], then we advise you to consider carefully to submit your application.  

          ※ In Korea, the Provisional Certificates are not accepted as the Final Graduation Certificates.
