An exchange student who plans to study for a required course/curriculum in accordance with an agreement of exchange program between corresponding universities.
※ Please note that applicants from certain countries who are presently in Canada (ex: temporary workers, international students etc.) must have been residing in Canada for at least 2 years (730 days) continuously when submitting a visa application.
● Visa Information
Period of Stay: Up to 1 year (you will receive the duration indicated on your Certificate of Admission)
Validation of Visa: 3 months from the visa issuance
Entry: Single entry
Visa Fee: $78 CAD for Canadians (Cash or Money Order)
Processing Time: Approximately 7 to 10 Business days
● Required Documents
1. Visa Application Form
2. Original Passport and a photocopy of passport (For Non-Canadian, provide valid Canadian visa)
- Original passport must have a validity of 6 months or more left
- If you are not Canadian, photocopy of PR Card or other Canadian Valid Visa such as Work/Study Permit)
3. 1 Colour Photo (size 3.5 x 4.5cm)
- White background, date stamped taken within 6 months at the back of the photo
4. Certificate of Admission
- Issued by the dean/president of the college or university; the certificate should include the student’s scholastic information and financial status)
5. A copy of Business Registration Certificate of the respective education institute (사업자등록증)
6. Documents proving that you are an exchange student
- Official documents of the host university, exchange student agreement between universities
7. Documents proving that you have completed at least one semester
- Proof of enrollment from a university
8. Document proving your financial ability to support yourself (one year tuition fee and the living expenses for a year)
- If submitting a parent’s bank statement instead, you must submit a written & signed permission from the parent proving your relationship and that they will cover your expenses. A photocopy of certified birth registration or statement of live birth to prove the relationship.
9. Visa Fee
- $78 CAD in cash or money order
10. If you are a Korean Descent or possessed Korean citizen before: Documents to prove renunciation (국적상실/국적이탈)

O Photocopy of both parents' passport and Canadian Citizenship Certificate (not a card)
-10.2. Only applicable for those who had Korean nationality in the past.

O If you have reported renunciation before 2008, please provide jejokdeungbon (제적등본) issued within 3 months from the date of application.
-[If you reported after 2008]:
O If you have reported renunciation after 2008, please provide basic certificate (“기본증명서” ) and family relation certification (“가족관계증명서”) issued within 3 months from the date of application in detailed version (상세, 전부공개).
