F-4 Visa (For Korean Heritage ONLY)

• ●Processing Time: Approximately 1-2 weeks (Please note that additional documents may be requested upon review)

• ●VISA Type : It is a single entry visa and valid for 90 days from the date of issue. A stay of up to 2 years will be permitted from the date of entry.
  

• ●Eligible Applicants : 1. Foreign citizens who previously possessed Republic of Korea citizenship but have renounced their Republic of Korea citizenship (국적상실 신고) 2. Foreign citizens with at least one parent or grandparent who possessed Republic of Korea citizenship in the past but who currently is a citizen of another country

Required Documents for foreign citizens who previously possessed ROK citizenship (대한민국 국적을 보유하였던 자로서 외국국적을 취득한 사람)

※ You must renounced your Korean citizenship before you apply this visa (국적상실신고) → "Click"

-Visa Application Form

-Please see attached file 

-Passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months

-A photocopy of passport (the page with photo and personal information)

-1 passport-type Color photo (white background, 3.5 x 4.5cm, date stamped taken with 6 months at the back)

-Original and a photocopy of Canadian citizenship certificate of the applicant (letter-sized document)

-Canadian Citizenship Card not accepted

-Copy of the Family Relationship Certificate (가족관계증명서 상세) and the Basic Certificate (기본증명서 상세) that was issued within 3 months from the application date.

-If you have reported renunciation before 2008, you have to obtain a copy of 제적등본 instead. 

- A photocopy of the Applicant's parents' passports and Canadian citizenship certificate

-If parents are PR holders, photocopy of PR (front and back)

-If parents became Canadian citizens, they should renounce ROK citizenship (국적상실 신고)

-Recent copy of parents’ Family Relationship Certificate (가족관계증명서 상세) and the Basic Certificate (기본증명서 상세) 

-If they have reported renunciation before 2008, they have to get a copy of 제적등본

-Criminal Record Check (RCMP Fingerprints) that was issued within 6 month .This applies if applicant's age between 18-59)

*If you have lived in other country more than 1 year within 5 years from visa submitting date, you must submit the country's criminal record check with notarization or Apostille.

-Visa Fee: C$117.00 (cash or money order)

#2 Required Documents for foreigner with at least one parent/grandparent who possessed ROK citizenship in the past but who currently is the citizen of another country (캐나다 출생자)

-Visa Application Form

-Passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months

-A photocopy of passport (the page with photo and personal information)

-1 passport-type color photo (white background, 3.5 x 4.5cm, date stamped taken with 6 months at the back)

 -Original and a photocopy of birth certificate issued by a foreign country

(the names of the applicant's parents must be stated)

-Photocopy of parents' or grandparent's passport and foreign citizenship certificate

-Recent copy of parent's or grandparent's Family Relationship Certificate (가족관계증명서 상세) and the Basic Certificate (기본증명서 상세) that was issued within 3 months from the application date
