The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada co-organized a roundtable on Korea-Canada Defence Cooperation with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute on May 27th (Monday). The roundtable emphasized the implementation of Canada's Indo-Pacific Strategy through defence cooperation between Korea and Canada, where the speakers discussed varying strategies to enhance cooperation in both defence and maritime sectors. Hwan Seug Kang, Vice Minister of DAPA, and Dong Kil Kang, Vice Chief of Naval Operations attended as ROK representatives, along with many high-level Canadian representatives including Marc Garneau, former Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bill Matthews, Deputy Minister of DND, Steven Waddell, Deputy Commander of Royal Canadian Navy, and Nancy Tremblay, Associate ADM Materiel of DND.
