If you are a Korean-Canadian born in Canada born to parents who were not yet both Canadian citizens at the time of your birth:

 

You may be eligible for a Korean Canadian dual citizenship and not eligible for issuance of Korean visa. If your birth was not registered in Korea or if you are unsure of the status of your dual citizenship, please first check our Korean site for information. Please go over the information with a Korean speaking parent or friend if you have difficulty understanding the information in Korean.


If you have additional questions after reviewing the information on both our English and Korean sites, please contact the Korean Nationality / Family Relations Department directly at torcon@mofa.go.kr. Only the questions not addressed on our website will receive a reply.


 

For those of Korean descent:

 

For questions regarding obtaining your Family Relations Certificate, please see guidelines on our website in Korean and work on the application of the documents with a Korean-speaking parent or friend.
