[VISA] [COVID-19] EMERGENCY VISA APPLICATION

DATE
2021-04-19

For EMERGENCY VISAS (ATTENDING THE FUNERAL OF A FAMILY MEMBER IN KOREA):

If you are applying for an emergency visa to attend a family member's funeral and have all the requirements but were unable to find an appointment online due to all the slots being booked, please call 416-920-3809 ext. 221 and leave a voicemail to request an emergency visa appointment.

If you used to have Korean nationality, you would first need to file the paperwork to renounce your Korean nationality in order to apply for any visa to Korea. Please consult the instructions provided in Korean by the Nationality Department(click). If you have difficulty understanding Korean, please go over the information with a Korean parent or friend. If you have additional questions still about your nationality, please contact the Nationality Department directly at torcon@mofa.go.kr.

We have an extremely limited number of emergency slots per week. You must still have ALL your visa application requirements in order for us to accept and process your visa application. We will try our best to find you an emergency appointment slot within the next few business days.

You will still need to have ALL required documents in order for us to process your application. Please refer to the C-3-1 Short Term Family Essential or Emergency Visit Guidelines.

ALL OTHER visa applications are ONLY by online appointment. Appointment slots are released automatically approx. 2 weeks in advance. Please visit this link to make an appointment. If you have made an appointment but can no longer make your reserved time, you must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to give others a chance to book that slot.

ALL APPLICANTS:

Please make sure you have all your required documents (and no additional pages not required) and application fee, and that your documents are in order listed on our website (and/or on Korea Visa Portal if you are applying to a less common visa not highlighted on our website) and out of any binders, folders, or envelopes.

If you don't meet the guidelines, you will be asked to return to the table/chairs to reorganize while the next person will be asked to submit their application. We are fully booked every day. This may result in you missing your appointment time and needing to re-book and return at a later date.
