In order to prevent the inflow of the COVID-19 variant virus into Korea, Korean Centre for Disease Control’s measures for inbound foreign travellers have been strengthened.
As variant virus is reported from an increasing number of countries, all the inbound foreign national travellers are required to submit a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test result to the airline at the time of boarding. The results are valid for 72 hours.
All non-Koreans flying into Korea as of January 8, 2021 at 0 am (KST) must submit to their airline at the time of boarding a negative COVID-19 PCR test results obtained within less than 72 hours of your flight.
* This measure starts on January 15, 2021 at 0 am for those entering by ports rather than by airports.
This is separate from the test results you submit to the Visa Department at the Korean Consulate at the time of your visa application. (This requirement is temporarily suspended as of Jan 7, 2021).
