 VISA  APPLICANTS

If you are not a resident of our jurisdiction (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and Northwest Territories), please contact and apply through the embassy or consulate present in your jurisdiction.

For visa applicants, please refer to each visa category you’re applying for to verify the required documents for your visa application. Please be advised that for non-canadians to apply for a visa, those of the following nationality should be a resident of Canada for more than TWO YEARS and will be asked to submit government issued documents to prove such as PR CARD or VALID Canadian Visa.

China, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Peru

Following nationalities must submit a copy of valid Canadian PR Card (Front and back) or Valid Canadian visa (student/work permit) to show they are residents of Canada. Study or Work permit holders must be present in Canada at least 2 years in order to apply for the visa.

Those who have a valid (not expired) *multiple visa* issued before April 5, 2020, can enter the Republic of Korea with that visa again from the 1st of June.  If you have any questions regarding this matter or the validity of your previous(existing) visa, please contact the Korean Immigration Service directly. +82-2-1345, +82-2-6908-1345~6. Our consulate DO NOT verify the validity of your existing visa.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE TO APPLY?

From the date of visa issue, regular visas have a 3 months window for the visa holder to enter Korea. That window will expire after 3 months as indicated on the visa. If that period has passed, your visa is no longer valid, and you will need to re-apply with all relevant required documents. Please do not apply too far in advance. We recommend applying about a month prior to your intended departure date as our regular processing time is approximately 14 business days and to give yourself some extra time in case your visa is delayed due to heavy volume of application or if we require any additional documents or interview from you.
