Korean Consulate Vancouver SNS Honourary Reporter Recruitment Notice

The Korean Consulate General in Vancouver is recruiting SNS honourary reporters as follows. Please read over the following information and apply using the application below.

1.Overview

As a SNS Honourary Reporter appointed in 2025, you will be responsible for attending a variety of events including community events, Consulate-hosted events, Veterans Affairs ceremonies etc. and creating content which will be posted to the Consulate’s SNS accounts.

 2.Tentative Timeline

This is a tentative timeline for your role as an Honourary Reporter. You will be expected to attend and cover events between the opening and closing ceremony.

Please note you will not need to attend ALL events. For example, all reporters might be informed of upcoming events needing coverage and asked to volunteer their attendance, and 1-2 might be selected.

Opening Ceremony: sometime in March

Closing Ceremony and Award Presentation: mid to late November

3.How to Apply

   • Application period: February 19th- February 28th

   • Complete attached Application Form and submit to vansec@mofa.go.kr by 5:00pm PST on February 28th

   • Zoom Interviews: taking place in the window of March 4th-6th (interview will last 5-10 min per applicant)

   • Notification to Successful Applications: March 7th  

4. Benefits

   • Honorariums may be provided based on work products of reporters.

   • Reporters who provide quality work throughout their term will receive a certificate as proof of their work for the Korean Consulate at Closing Ceremony

   • The top reporters will receive additional prizes at the Closing Ceremony

* Top reporters will be selected by internal committee at the Korean Consulate and judged on how active they are covering events throughout the year, meeting requests by the Consulate for content production, and number of interactions their content gets on SNS.
