ㅇ Eligible Applicants

People who plan to stay as long-term visitors (more than 3 months) for the study at a university or at accredited higher education institutions.

ㅇ For student Visa, you must have *Common Required Documents in order to make an appointment.

*Common Required Documents for Student Visa

 1) a letter of admission & Tuition payment receipt issued by the university in Korea 

 2) a business registration certificate from the university 

 3) Current School Document (Examples of documents below)

 - Recommendation Letter issued by president of swiss university 

 - Proof of Exchange Student * Official note from Korean host university or Exchange Student Agreement 

 - Certificate of Enrollment or Declaration of Registration issued within 3 months by Swiss School(original)

※ To apply for a visa for a compulsory education institution(school), you must obtain a visa issuance certificate from Korea. (Effective October 2025) Therefore, please obtain a visa issuance certificate from a relevant Korean institution.

ㅇ Visa type  D-2/D- 4 is Single entry visa  (Valid period 3 months), so Extend your stay after entering Korea with it:

 - Foreign residents intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days in Korea have to apply for a foreigner registration at the Immigration Office within 90 days from the day of their arrival in Korea.    

ㅇ For a national of the designated countries as below, it's necessary to have a VIN(Visa Issuance Number) at first from Korean Immigration Office: Syria, Kosovo

ㅇ COA(Certificate of Admission): as a physical document of scanned copy 
ㅇ Submission of TB test: Only for long-term visa applicant, who is a national of high TB-burden countries and have stayed for less than 6 months in Switzerland  (detailed here)
