■ H-1 (Working Holiday visa) is NOT available at our Embassy according to the bilateral agreement.
■A person who has lost the nationality of the Republic of Korea (except persons who have reported the abandonment of nationality under Article 14) shall report the loss of nationality to the Minister of Justice(국적상실신고). Without this procedure, it's NOT possible to issue a visa.

1. Visa application is ONLY available on Tuesday and Thursday (9:00~11:30 am and 2:30~4:00 pm).

2. Valid Swiss Residence permit is required for Non-Swiss national.
■If you have a citizenship of the designated countries as below without a Swiss residence permit or have stayed for less than 1 years: Please apply for a visa to the Korean Embassy or Consulate in your home country according to the policy.

3. You can apply for it 1 or 2 months before your departure because of the visa validity (3 months).
- Only if your purpose is urgent or essential not to change the schedule for attending a funeral or official duty,
we can consider an exceptional appointment.
- Just for the reason you have non-refundable or non-changeable flight ticket, we don't accept any exceptional case.
- If the applicant applies for visa too early before the scheduled travel date and is required to reapply for visa,
the applicant is required to prepare a fresh set of documents and make payment for the new application.
We will not refund the payment for the first application.
4. Passport must be valid over 6 months.
■After applying for the visa, you get the original passport back right on the spot immediately.
5. Once the visa(the Visa Grant Notice) is issued, you (the applicants) can download and print it directly from the following site. You do not have to come back to the embassy to pick up the visa.

6. All the details of documents can be confirmed just on the spot. No prior confirmation by phone or email:
If there are any incorrect or supplementary documents, the person in charge will provide guidance when applying.
■Documents issued in another country should be attached with Apostille or translated and notarized in one language among English, German or French. In addition, it's necessary to submit Original documents.

8. There are some kind of visas that cannot be issued directly at the discretion of Consulate (e.g. long-term work visa over 90-days stay), In this case, you have to submit number of confirmation of Visa Issuance(VIN) issued by immigration regional office in Korea.

* The Consulate is unable to guarantee the processing time or Visa approval over the phone.
