The Workation (Digital Nomad) Visa is available for application from 1st. January 2024.

• ○Eligible Applicants: Overseas business owners or foreigners affiliated with international companies who can work remotely and have worked in the same industry for at least one year, and their accompanying family members(spouse and minor children)

• ○Age: 18 years of (full) age or older (Except for dependent children)

• ○Visa type  F-1-D, Multiple entry visa (Valid period 1 year, Stay period 1 year)

• ○Condition:

- Must earn more than twice the Korean GNI (Gross National Income) per capita of the previous year* as announced by the Bank of Korea

*GNI per capita as of 2022: KRW 44,050,000/ Twice the GNI per capita: 88,100,000

- Do not have Criminal record

- Has medical insurance that covers at least KRW 100 million for medical treatment and return to home country in case of emergency. Insurance must cover 1 year. (stay in Korea)

※ Please note that Workation visa holders are strictly restricted from employment activities in Korea.

• ○Required Documents:

1. Visa application form renewed in 2022

2. Original Passport size and color photo (Not printed one of a picture file)

3. Original Passport 

1) Original with a scanned copy

2) Remaining validity of at least 6 months

4. NON SWISS ONLY

Permanent Residence Card valid over 1 year from the issuance date from Swiss immigration office

5. Proof of current status

-Employment Certificate issued on the latest from application date

-Employment Contract

*It must be confirmed that you have worked in the same type of Business for more than one year.

6. Proof of financial status

- Bank statement for last 3 months (original)

- Salary, income proof

7. Police Certificate (original)

*It must be an official and original document issued within past 6 months and contain all criminal records and must affixed with an Apostille.

*If you have stayed in a country other than Switzerland for more than 1 year within last 5 years, you must submit a Police certificate issued by that country as well and an Apostille or notarization is required.

*Applicants under the age of 13 are exempt from submitting Police Certificate.

8. Proof of medical insurance (including coverage details)

9. Family relation certificate with passport copy of them (In case they will apply for visa together)

*If this document was issued in a country other than Switzerland, an Apostille must be attached.

10. Visa fee only in cash (CHF)

VISA FEE = 18~ 225CHF depending on your Nationality

 Alien Registration in Korea: Foreign residents intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days in Korea have to apply for a foreigner registration at the Immigration Office within 90 days from the day of their arrival in Korea.
