Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Swiss Confederation

Next year the Republic of Korea and Switzerland will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In this regard, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Swiss Confederation and the Embassy of Switzerland to the Republic of Korea release the logo for commemorating the forthcoming 60th anniversary. 

6 out of 70 design studios were selected and took part in the Design Exchange Program of the two countries in May. Among their 6 submitted logos, the one by Balmer Hählen Design Studio based in Lausanne was selected by the jury which consisted of professional designers of the two countries. The winner's logo of a Hibiscus (Korean national flower) and an Edelweiss (Swiss national flower) who put their arms around each other’s shoulders and walk together with smiles represents the mutual growth and a bright future of our two countries.

The 6 submitted logos from the Design Exchange Program will be exhibited at Seoul Design Festival in December 2022, and the chosen logo will be widely employed for official events and promotional materials for the 60th anniversary in 2023.
