presidential envoys, attended the reception hosted by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski
on November 16 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Korea-Poland diplomatic
relations. They then met with Pawel Wypych, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Polish President,
to deliver a letter from President Lee Myung-bak, in which he celebrated the 20th anniversary of diplomatic
ties and expressed hope for increased substantive cooperation between the two countries.

2. After conveying satisfaction with active high-level officials’ exchange, including the Korean President’s
visit to Poland in commemoration of the 20 years of diplomatic relations, the envoys exchanged views
with the Polish side on ways to continue expansion in trade and investment as well as bolster cooperation
between Korea and Poland, one of the core countries in Central Europe, in the fields of energy,
construction and defense industry.

3. In a meeting with Andrzej Halicki, Chairman of the Polish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, the
two sides exchanged views on the current situation of the Korean peninsula and agreed to work together
for further development of bilateral relations through expanded people-to-people exchange on the
parliamentary level.

4. In addition to visits to Korean firms in Poland on November 17, the delegation is scheduled to host a
gathering of Korean residents and business leaders there to encourage them to play a role in promoting
national interests overseas and to listen to their difficulties.
