1. The 27th ROK-US-Japan Policy Planning Talks will be held in Busan on November 30 with MOFAT’s 
Director-General for Policy Planning Lee Sang-hyun and his US and Japanese counterparts, Jake 
Sullivan and Masafumi Ishii, in attendance.

° The ROK-US-Japan Policy Planning Talks were launched in 1991 as a consultative mechanism aimed 
to promote cooperation among the three countries in foreign policy planning.

2. In the meeting, the three sides will exchange views on the Asia-Pacific structure, the regional situation, 
the Middle East issues, and ways for the three countries to work more closely together.
