1. The Government of the Republic of Korea welcomes Indonesia’s ratification of the Comprehensive 
Nuclear-Test-Ban-Treaty (CTBT) on December 6, 2011.

2. Indonesia is one of the 44 states listed in Annex 2 of the treaty whose ratification is required for the 
CTBT to enter into force. As such, we believe that Indonesia’s ratification of the CTBT will encourage 
the ratification of other Annex 2 States, contributing to the effectuation of the CTBT.

3. We expect that other states will also meet the aspiration of the international community for a 
comprehensive ban on nuclear tests by ratifying the CTBT at an early date.
