1. Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will make an official visit to the Republic of Korea on March 1-2.

2. During Minister Yang’s visit, Foreign Minister Kim Sung-Hwan will meet with him to exchange views on ways to boost the ROK-China strategic and cooperative partnership and other major bilateral issues; the situation on the Korean Peninsula; and regional and global issues.

3. The third official visit by Minister Yang, following the second in February 2011, will take place under the agreement reached between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries in March 2010 to exchange visits on an annual basis; and is expected to serve as an opportunity to further develop the bilateral strategic and cooperative partnership.
